Today was a LONG day... I was planning on writing this post a lot earlier but after working a 13 hour day to fix an emergency here I am at 11:30pm writing about being patient.
The first part of 1 Corinthians 13:4 is "Love is patient". Patience is a virtue that is going to help you grow in all the rest of the points that this verse makes so this is an important one. The definition of patience is "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset."
Patience is something I still struggle with but am much better than I used to be. Being a wife and a mom you must conquer patience if you want peace. The best way to grow your patience is to hold your tongue. When you take time to think before reacting to a situation, it can change the entire outcome. Having this kind of patience is vital to being in a marriage with a difficult husband. If your husband is an addict or a narcissist then having extra patience can help diffuse some of the toxic situations they create.
Ways to help grow patience:
Be slow to speak and react
Find something to be grateful for in each situation
Breathe
Look at the situation from all points of view and not just your own
These are just a few tips to help grow your patience. What are some ways that you grow patience?

P.S. Sorry this post is much shorter than I'd like it to be but man am I tired! In the future I will be touching on patience again though!
