Perseverance is NOT for the weak. Perseverance is persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Marriage can be the definition of perseverance sometimes!
Job in the Bible was the role model of perseverance. James 5:11, "Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful." Job endured many trials that some of of can't even imagine and yet he persevered! His hope was in the Lord which helped him with this strong perseverance.
In Revelation 3:9-11 we read about the promise to those who persevere. "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown." Perseverance is hard but so worth it!
Keep your hearts and minds on God to help you persevere! Hope in the One who saves us and is already victorious will help us through even the hardest of trials. And know you are NOT alone!
